Job Advert Description

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the administrative function of the life-raft manufacturing process.

· Actively work with the General Manager, the Regional Asset Manager and the Lead Safety Service Technician to develop plans to effectively utilize capacity while meeting customer commitments

· Develop materials plans that align with production requirements

· Provide Customer Services Department material delivery dates to allow Customer Services to assign ship dates to customer orders

·  Provide Finance Department material delivery dates to allow Finance to forecast inventory and cash flow

· Monitor / track production output to ensure production plans are on schedule

· Issue Purchase Orders and Work Orders in support of the production requirements

·  Monitor and maintain inventory levels to support production requirements while maximizing inventory turnover

· Report and take immediate action on all material shortages

· Ensure ISO9001 Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and policies are implemented and maintained

· Ensure material requirements of the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) are followed as specified in QP21 (Marine Equipment Directive Control), as applicable.

Knowledge and Experience

Education/Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a focus in Supply Chain / Operations at an accredited school.

· CPIM / CSCP certifications preferred

Software: 

          Experience of creating and working with the following computer applications:

·  Microsoft Outlook

·  Microsoft Word

·  Microsoft Excel

·  Microsoft PowerPoint

·  Microsoft Access

·  ERP Software (MAS / Sage and IFS - Preferred)
