Job Advert Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibility of all business activities in the defined territory and business areas
  • Meeting the company’s statutory and fiscal obligations
  • Manage appropriate risk and escalate any compliance issues to management
  • Prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods
  • Determine and track duties and taxes payable and process payments on behalf of company
  • Maintain operation standards for customs procedures, including valuation, classification, entry review and record retention
  • Maintain a firm understanding of dangerous goods customs handling requirements
  • Sign documents under power of attorney
  • Represent company in meetings with customs officials and apply for duty refunds and tariff reclassifications
  • Coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods with internal and external clients
  • Request or compile necessary import documentation, such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo-control documents
  • Provides ongoing status updates to the local management

Knowledge and Experience



·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a focus in Supply Chain / Operations at an accredited school.

·       Ability to accurately assign HTS numbers

·       Experience using ACE preferred


  • Experience of creating and working with the following computer applications:
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Access
  • ERP Software (MAS / Sage - Preferred)
