Key Responsibilities

  • Work on fire and safety systems and equipment onboard including
    • Smoke detection systems
    • CO2 systems
    • Foam systems
    • Halon systems
    • FM-2020 systems
    • Water Mist
    • Detection
    • Clean Agents
    • Portable Fire Extinguishers
    • Breathing Air
  • Must be capable of inspecting, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, repairing and reporting them
  • Be familiar with testing of pressure, flow and level switches and transmitters
  • Be familiar with US and European fire safety systems
  • Must be able to test/calibrate various systems
  • Liaise with supervisors to identify 3rd party repair requirements

Knowledge and Experience 

  • Minimum of high school diploma; additional post-secondary education helpful but not required
  • 3 to 5 years of prior oilfield experience, Preferred
  • Marine industry background, Preferred
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • Technical and Mechanical ability
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Must be able to complete offshore safety courses (BOSIET, HUET)
