Job Advert Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the projects are carried out in good order and in accordance with company rules and guidelines and manage the project performance in line with set KPIs
  • Ensure that project schedules, targets and plans are established in compliance with the customer and contract requirements for the project.
  • Monitor and coordinate technical aspects of projects, including cooperation with central engineering, deviation, explanations.
  • Ensure customer receive timely and good quality technical support.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of hand over process.
  • Supervise purchasing process in accordance with company strategy, policy, procedures and requirements in order to fulfil customer orders/projects.
  • Monitor, follow up on local supplier’s performance and close cooperation/feedback with strategic sourcing.
  • Manage inventory levels in accordance with global supply chain strategy and policy.
  • Manage the warehouse facility and goods flow.
  • Identify, manage and report project financials, deviations and explanations.
  • Manage debt collection process.
  • Be proactive in identifying for areas of improvement and work closely with other functions to implement quality improvement and cost savings.
  • Monitor and follow up of NCRs related to project fulfilment.
  • Ensure that practices at all times comply with the regulatory approvals, permits and certification for all products and services within the defined quality, labour conditions, H(ealth), S(afety) & E(nvironmental) systems, procedures and business practices of the organisation as well as company’s code of conduct
  • Staff recruitment, performance assessment, coaching, training and development
  • Any other task delegated by line manager.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory requirements
  • University level education (Bachelors Degree)
  • Experience from the marine industry with technical knowledge of marine systems and products/ minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and experience of project management practises
  • Proven operational management skills (e.g. sales order processing, purchasing, logistics)
  • Familiar with financial management related to project control
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a multinational environment
  • A good team player
  • Good management skills plus a proactive, decisive and result-oriented approach
  • Customer focus orientation
  • Computer literate and fluent English
  • Self-motivated, high energy, responsible and proactive
  • An outgoing personality with good communication skills

Additional preferences

  • Working knowledge of ERP system (IFS)
