Job Advert Description

Survitec are looking for a motivated and skilled Logistics Supervisor who is responsible for all S1’s shipping documentation, packing, customs clearance and freight cost to the business.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all customs documentation for both imported and exported goods
  • Responsible for all customs clearance for both imported and exported goods
  • Ensuring that all dangerous goods are being shipped are packed and labelled as per the DG regulations
  • Ensuring that all product export licences are applied in line with company policy
  • Ensuring we have the best possible price for all orders we have the responsible for shipping
  • Establish and maintain good communication with internal and external partners at all times
  • Liaise positively with customers and deal effectively with any shipping queries or issues
  • Co-ordinate and expedite when necessary the delivery of materials from Survitec approved suppliers
  • Responsible for the movement of stock to and from suppliers to customers and subcontractors
  • The dispatch of all components / materials to customers with correct certification within specified times
  • Ensure item are transported securely and in line with company procedures
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the Stores Supervisor/Team to ensure there are sufficient stock levels to guarantee shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest solutions
  • Prepare and manage relevant audits
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss and plan for the week / month ahead when required
  • Ensure that your own training remains in date

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience/knowledge of the survival industry and its related products would be desirable
  • A good knowledge of IFS (ERP System) would be advantageous
  • A good working and proven knowledge of import/export legislation
  • Have experience in the shipping of dangerous goods
  • Previous experience in dealing with and applying export licences
  • Customer focused and committed to building effective internal and external working relationships
  • Confident communication skills (both written and verbal) at all levels
  • A driven and determined approach, results focused
  • Capable of working under pressure
  • Capable of complex problem solving
  • Have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
