Job Advert Description

Survitec are looking for an Inside Sales Representative at either our Birkenhead or Gosport site. The Inside Sales Representative will use telephone, email and instant messaging channels to make outbound, proactive contact with customers to create/maintain relationships and drive sales. They will meet daily, weekly and monthly targets for activity and sales.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops and implements a customer contact plan for assigned customers or customer portfolio, to communicate product launches and engage potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build new relationships. Delivers on that plan
  • Sets clear objectives for each sales contact; uses standard materials to make presentations to the customer; and asks relevant questions to evaluate the customer’s level of interest, identifying and responding to areas requiring further information or explanation
  • Identifies the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs; uses personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations; explain the selection to the customer, and invites the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale
  • Identifies potential customers by obtaining information, referrals, and recommendations from existing customers
  • Schedules follow-up actions and enters relevant information into the customer relationship management system after each contact with a customer to create a call plan, ensuring Survitec has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities. Utilises CRM effectively to create sales plans and timely reports
  • Identifies within the team, instances of non-compliance to Survitec policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Prioritises own workflow and ensures work is completed to the required standards for productivity, quality and timeliness; uses performance management systems to improve personal performance

Experience and qualification

  • High school or further education college education, 2 A levels or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience working unsupervised
